Diggin' deep

My current project is building an olympic pool at approximately 4' above mean sea level (which means at high tide we might be swimming or at low tide we can dig). Lets just say we have had a few problems. Everything, every day, all the time is a "#1 Priority", "Hot Potato", or so "HOT" it needs "immediate attention." The other common phrase right now is, "Lee, this is such a great experience for you. In the (10, 30, or 40) years I have been in this industry, I have never encountered these types of issues." Lucky for you, I am just going to show you pictures of things going right! The pictures are part of the drilling process, digging down 40' feet to bedrock for piers that will support the new gymnasium and pool. Sounds pretty cool, eh?

The Term "Blog"

For the last six months, we have made it a point to check all of our friend's blogs daily. This routine became more and more interesting as people created their blogs. There was a difficult span of about 2 weeks where the blogs remained untouched. This was so frustrating, that Allie and I promised we would never make a blog, in order to avoid disappointing any of our friends who might become as obsessed as we were. Unfortunately, tonight I created a Blog without any real intention of updating this daily, or honestly, even weekly. So, now you and I find ourselves in a interesting situation. Do you bookmark our blog, or continue with your Internet searching without ever returning to our page? Tough spot, eh? Well, not that this will help to convince you, or your friends, to continue checking our page, but did you know that the term "blog" originated with people creating "web-logs" on the Internet? Yup, that's what I hear.
