Thanksgiving Utah Trip: Randoms

Sunday night we met up with Lee's sister Katie.
We were right by the Bountiful Temple, so we needed to stop by and
show the kids where we were married.

On Wednesday we went to Ogden to the Tree House Museum. The kids
loved running around to whatever they wanted. Jane's favorite place
was the "hospital" where she took care of the newborn babies.
Zachary enjoyed dressing up as a doctor and police man.
Afterwards Grandpa treated all of us to some ice-cream.
Zachary picked his out all on his own.
Aunt Ann would have been proud of the play-dough choice.

On Thanksgiving morning we took a walk down to the Botanical Gardens down the street.
Zachary got tired about half way through (which we later found out why)
and got to ride on Gpas shoulders.
It's always fun to see the changes that they do each time we visit.

Come to find out it would be a Thanksgiving to remember.
After prayer was said the next thing you know Zac threw up.
Luckily for us it was just on his plate and table cloth. He was brought upstairs
and cleaned up. The rest of us took everything off the table and took the table cloth off.
Neither of our kids have ever thrown up, so it was very unexpected.
We spent that evening and Friday laying low.
We were a little bummed because we had a few other people we wanted to see
and to see the temple lights, but we had fun anyways.
We did make it out for some unsuccessful black Friday (day) shopping.

We ended up leaving Saturday to drive home.
Again the kids were great.

Overall a very fun trip.
We all loved seeing Grandpa and Grandma Passey, Cait, John, and Maren.

Thanksgiving Utah Trip: Visting Friends/Family

School was still in until Wednesday for my siblings and mom (who teaches)
so we had a few days to see some friends. I am sad that we didn't get pictures of everyone
we saw, but here are some of the ones we did get!
(You might see a running theme of Zac in the pictures.)

Visiting Wendy and Burton!

Lisa Frischknect at her apartment in SLC.

Ice cream and cookies with the Holts.
And attempt at a group shot.
We had fun catching up and enjoying our kids playing together.

Dessert night with the Harvey's.
Zac had so much fun playing doctor and playing in the girls room.
Cutest girls ever. I love Aubrey doing the funny face in the good shot. :)

We went to visit Grandma a her shcool. She had a meeting to head to
so we went and played on the playground. Maren was the perfect
playmate. Jane thought she was pretty fun.

Jane's Great Grandma Passey.
We always love visiting and seeing her.

Thanksgiving Utah Trip: Our Drive and Around the House

The kids had no idea what was ahead of them for a drive to Utah (to be honest we didn't either!).
We told them it would be a REALLY long drive to Grandma and Grandpa Passey's house,
but I guess they didn't believe us when Zac was saying, "are we there yet" a half
hour into the drive. We had a good few hours of hearing it every 10 minutes (until it died off to every 30 minutes). They pulled out the books around that half hour mark and Jane read them for a good four hours straight. (And then off an on throughout the drive.)
The only problem with books was she liked to throw them on the side by the door
so I couldn't reach them. Every time Lee opened the door to get her out a huge pile of
books would fall to the ground.
We only made stops for gas, and our last stop to get some dinner.
We were excited when we finally made it!

Some pictures of our drive:
Stopping at Love Lock
Sleeping kids (if only it would have lasted longer!!)
A silly Zachary.
Baby with view of Nevada.
 And Jane reading away.

We ended up leaving out to Utah a day earlier then planned. It looked like rain and possibly snow was going to hit the Donor Pass, so we packed up early and left on Friday. It was a good call. Saturday night we went to my brother John's High School performance of Phantom of the Opera. They did an awesome job, and Lee was way impressed that a High School could do such a performance. We didn't get any pictures of the actual production or of him all dressed up (sad), but we did get the before and afters of his hair. He had been growing it out for months for the play. It was super long!

Nap times!! Sleeping kids are the best. :)

Jane LOVED the babies at Grandma's house.
She always had one (two or three) in hand.

Zachary was SO HAPPY to help Grandpa rake leaves.
He helped multiple times. He loved having his own little rake.
I don't know how much of a help he really was. :)

The morning we were leaving.
Grandpa came down in his flag shirt too.

Thanksgiving Utah Trip: Hill Air Force Base

The weather was so nice while we were in Utah that we decided it would be fun to
take the kids to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. I had been there a few times growing up and thought it would be a perfect outing for a morning. Both kids ended up loving it. They liked to touch the planes outside and really liked the interactive kids area inside. Lee was saying he needed about 2 hours longer there
so he could read all the cool things. It really was amazing seeing the differences of the planes throught
the years. And seeing what those who protect our country go through.
