up high.

Zachary loves playing on the coffee table.
Probably because he knows he shouldn't.
He will climb up and think he is so funny.
(As seen in the video.)
He has had a few falls.
But that has not stopped him!!

His other favorite is the couch.
He can't get up on the couch on his own.
Once we had the coffee table against the couch
and he could climb from it to the couch.
Even with it pushed away,
he still thinks this is possible.
(He has tried a few times.)

Eying the couch.

Thinking he can reach for it.

No. He did not make it.
This was later when I was sitting on the couch
and he wanted up.
He could play all day up there,
jumping, running from one end to the other,
and pushing things off.
What a busy boy!

Another park by us.
It has three steering wheels.
-We base our parks after those.-
They are a favorite.

Doesn't he look like a little rugby player in this shirt?

Loved.

favorite words

Video #1
I know I have mentioned many times how much
Zachary loves the outdoors.
One of his favorite words is "bye." He knows it means
he can go outside.
In the mornings he will block the door so Lee can't
leave saying and waving "bye."
He will go over to the door multiple times of the
day and say "bye bye."
We tell him that he needs to get his shoes to go "bye bye."
He now will find his shoes so he can go outside.
He usually waves, but for some reason he
didn't this time...
(Also, when he gets excited he does this bend over and then sit down thing.
He does it in the video. He is so cute!)

Video #2
"More." Means food.
We hear "more" just about as many times as "bye."
I had gotten out grapes earlier and given him some.
He knows they were still up on the counter.
It makes us laugh because he will be playing
and then randomly get up and say "more" and go into the kitchen.
This kid loves food!

little helper

All the work with the Fisher Price popper
has made Zac think he NEEDS to help me.
For a boy who does not like loud noises,
he sure loves the vacuum!!

He gets really excited when I get it out of the closet.
It is kind-of funny.
He helps me push & pull it.
He loves to help me with the cord.
He follows me around with it.
(He is so observant!)

Having my little helper makes vacuuming 3x's as long,
along with EVERYTHING else I do.

Can you say the dishes ??
I load it, and he unloads it all over the kitchen floor.
He also had discovered that sitting on the door of it is SO fun.

Laundry.
I fold a pile.
Then I put it away.
Then I gather up some more that are spread all over the room
and do the same.
But the worst, I mean worst, is changing from the
washer to the dryer. He always wants to help.
But with stackables it is so hard to hold him and
change it over.
So there is usually a lot of crying.

Cooking.
He must see what I'm doing.
Yes, we still use the bumbo so he can sit up on the counter.
(Don't worry we are always right next to him...
he definitely knows how to get out himself!!)
I think he mostly likes to watch so he can get tastes.

Whatever keeps him happy, right?

carseat

Life is good when you are facing forward.

hike movie

So at the cabin we went on a little hike.
At the beginning we walked along the lake on a paved trail.
Zachary was so funny stopping to look, and then running,
to see everyone and everything.

Of course he loved any dog that came by.
He once joined a group of little kids walking the opposite direction.
There was also a lot of chasing after strollers.
And a stop to watch a couple eating ice cream cones,
while he stared and said "mmmmm."
He sure loves to be outside being loud and doing whatever he wants.

party weekend?

I dont' think that Lee enjoyed his party
weekend as much as some of us.
He spent Friday night in a tent and all day Saturday scouting.
But he got the training done!
And he joined in on the fun Sunday.

(who sticks out like a sore thumb??)

party weekend #2

This weekend we had a lot of fun being with family
and celebrating the wonderful missionary Katie
will be (and already has been)!
We are sure going to miss her lots,
but know that the people of Kennewick Washington
will be blessed.
We are excited for her next 18 months.
She will be amazing!

We sure love you Katie!

party weekend

On Saturday we went to Zac's friend Colby's birthday party.
The Babcocks always put on a good party.
This time was no exception.
They had a jumpy house, clown, balloons, cotton candy,
pinata, bubbles, homemade ice-cream, bbq, and more!
We were glad we could celebrate another year with Colby!

We walked into the backyard and Zac immediately found the cars.
He was in heaven.

The clown made Zac a sword.
He was so cute walking around carrying it by the blade.

Another favorite was the jumpy house.
He had a ton of fun with the balls inside.

park

This summer I think we have gone to a park or pool
almost everyday. No joke.
Zac has to get his energy out.
And I need a break from entertaining.
So it works perfect.

He is really good at climbing all the stairs on his own
and finding all the steering wheels/or anything else that spins.
Lately he has been chasing the birds everywhere.
One day he ran an entire soccer filed and back trying to get them.
He also will run after any dog that he sees.
He does not stop. It is amazing.

These are just a few pictures form the other week
playing at a park near our house.
