friend fun

This past week we were lucky enough to have Colby came over to our house to play.
We had fun dumping all of our toys out and chasing this mover around.
(I was impressed I got a picture with the both of them!)

I wish I had a picture of Colby with his matching hat on.
Thanks Jess!
(Can you believe she made that?)
So cute!

This is Ryann.
Zac was not too sure what he thought about her at first...

...but give him some time and he sure liked holding her hand.

First Christmas.

Zac sat on Santa's lap at our ward Christmas party.
He was cute eying the candy cane the entire time.

Nothing is on his list this year...
I was happy to hear that!

4 months

Sitting all by himself with a little help from the boppy!
He is just getting to be such a big boy!

Over Thanksgiving break we had a guess on how much Zachary would weigh in at his four month appointment. These are some of the guesses:

Lee 15.10
Allie: 16.1
Grandpa 17.8
Grandma 17
Kenzie 16.10
Katie 16.5

I don't know how but I guessed it right on the dot. Well, .5 oz off, but I won the Top This Yogurt!! Anyone is welcome to join, but you will have to pay for your own. Better luck at 6 months! :)

Here is Zachary at 4 months:

Weight: 16lbs 1.5oz (71%)
Height: 25 in (50%)
Head 16 1/2in (38%)

What has Zac been up to?

Here is a quick update on some of the fun things little Zachary has been doing...

BYU woman's soccer was in the NCAA championships at Standford,
we ended up going to two of their games.
A night game (pictured) which they won. And a day game, which sadly, they lost.
We had fun cheering on our cougs.

Sometimes when mom leaves the house she
comes home to find Lee and Zachary
doing this...
Lee always says that Zac picked out the show.

One evening Zac just kept doing this sad face.
It was so sad, but at the same time so cute.

Here is Zachary in the kitchen helping mom cook.
He will not last very long in the seat, but he is getting better!

This is where the real fun is.
Zac loves to play in his exersaucer!
But again, he will let you know when he is done!!

More to come!

Suday Fall Walk

Thanks Weekend

For Thanksgiving we headed to the Cooper cabin.
It was a nice get-a-way.
We enjoyed some very yummy food and went on a few walks.
We have such wonderful families and are very thankful for them. We can't wait be with the Passey family at Christmas time! We are so blessed.

A walk along the canal.

This was a crazy bridge we had to cross.

Our little bear was getting ready for the winter.

We went to the lake near by and started the hike around it. But it got a little cold. We were glad we turned around early because when we got to the car it started to snow.

Lee zipped up Zac into his jacket to help his feet stay warm.

Zac just sucked his mittens until they were soaked!

The lake looked really cool. There was so much mist.

Guess who's rosy cheeks Zachary got?

We came back from the cabin and the next day headed into SF for the car show. Zachary loved the Mini Coopers. He just wanted to get a picture in the "woody."

We sure enjoy long weekends.
We are counting the days down until Christmas!

He makes us laugh.

We have such a cute boy.
He was making us laugh so hard tonight with his little laugh.
Lee was just started slapping his hands on his thigh and he just kept laughing at it.
We sure love him.

tummy to back

"Tummy time" has not been one of Zac's favorite activities of the day. Zac and I have been working on actually getting his head UP. He tends to either cry with his head down or suck his thumb. (pictured below). I decided that we needed some practice. Everyday we have been doing a little tummy time before he ate. (To avoid the spit-up that would be smeared across his face that he would be rubbing back and forth into the blanket.)
I decided that we needed to make being on his tummy something he liked so, the pacifier was put in the mouth and a light up toy with noise was placed at the top of his head. It took a few days to get the idea, but he soon had his head up.

And let me tell you all this practice really has paid off.

Yesterday Zac was doing a little "tummy time" when all of the sudden he decided to roll over. I texted Lee to tell him about it and said "it was probably a one time thing." Boy was I wrong! He would not stop. He has kept on going. I could not even get the camera going before he wanted to roll over. He has gone both ways, but really favors the one way the most.

This is really short, but here is the proof!

Zac's new best friend

Zac gets nervous whenever his little lady friends Heather or Ryann are around, so we have been helping him build is confidence with a little "Mirror Time." It seems like every cool guy gets a boost of confidence from himself in the mirror before heading out.

....and the unrelenting crying shifts really quickly when we throw him in front of bright lights and a mirror.

PS - Does this outfit remind anyone of Dr. Seuss?

Where all your dreams come true.

Who could pass up a trip to one of the happiest places on earth?

We decided to take a quick trip down south and meet up with a bunch of friends (funny because half of them live up north with us) at Disney Land. A special thanks to Jake and Emron (they work at Pixar) for getting us all in.

Zac had so much fun that he only really slept during the first line that we were in. Other then that he was pretty much awake all day. He did awesome in his stroller and front pack. And was happy and good all day. He got to go on some rides with us. He came on the new Toy Story ride in California, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, and the Jungle Cruise (with Lee while I was going on a ride for the second time). By the end of the day he was tired! At about eight he had had enough of all the lights and noise. Luckily they have a great mothers lounge there and I got him fed and sleeping. We stayed a little longer for the fireworks and some rides under the moon light. It was a really fun day!

It was great with our group we were all able to get "baby passes" for each ride. So, many times you could go on the ride twice and not have to wait in line. It was the best having so many willing babysitters.
The Group

Everything was decorated for Halloween.
It was really fun to see everything decorated a little
different then it always is.

This was when we were in line for Toy Story.
Zac was totally out and so cute.

Boy was it HOT! Zac did not like really wearing a hat,
but it was a must.

These are Zac's little friends. They are a week apart.
Westin on the left, Macy in the middle, and Zachary on the right.
They were all such good babies. It will be fun when they can really
play with one another.

We really liked the candy "corn."

First BYU Game

The next day we headed to San Diego for the BYU vs SDSU game.
We had a fun time there.
I think there were more fans there for BYU then for SDSU!
We were very happy with the outcome of the game.
We like it when BYU wins.
(Especially if we drove hundreds of miles to see the game.)

Isn't he so cute!!

The Group

and more of the group.

We always love seeing cousin and buddy Brad.

Zachary was a champ for the entire trip. We had a lot of fun. And he was so good for the drive down and back. He only woke up once for a feeding both ways, otherwise he slept. And then even slept through the nights both times! We sure love this little guy.

COWABUNGA!

I know Halloween is not for a few more days, but I could not resist showing off Zachary in his Halloween costume! He wore it to the ward party on Saturday and was SO SO cute! (I'll post more pictures from the "trunk or treat" later.)

Lee had picked out what Zac was going to be in May-yes, before he was even born! I don't think he had to think twice about it. (I might have been the one who thought twice about it.)
How was I going to make a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle costume for a 2 month old? Well, somehow I pulled it off...even with pieces that were removable for easy diaper changing, car seat riding, and sleeping. (I thought I did pretty good for not being much of a seamstress.)

Introducing...

Leonardo
(aka: Zachary)

Look at that high kick!

Zac as of lately LOVES to stand.
He has the strongest legs ever!

He looks like a true leader of the pack here...huh?

Dad even made him some katanas.
How cool is that?

He was one tired turtle.
(This picture shows off how everything comes off.
Oh, even the blue bands on his legs come off.)

He is just so much fun!
We think he is such a cutie.

Turtle Power!

It's Halloween Time!

Look at who just loves Halloween.
