goodbye april

April has just flown by. And so has my blogging for the month. Easter was great. We decorated eggs with Brent, Jessica, and Colby.

Jessica did a poll and her egg won (left). Lee did the storm cloud egg (didn't win). I did the yellow and purple (one vote-me). Brent did the pink sticker egg (didn't win either). I guess the girls are just the best at egg decorating.

We saw this in LA last January and were so excited when it came to SF so we could see it again! We were not disappointed. In fact the baby did not stop moving the entire show.

Simple

I received a sewing machine when I graduated from BYU, but sadly I have not used it until last week. Living in a one bedroom apartment I don't really like to have "extra" things out, so I have never took it out of it's box. Sad huh?!

My mother-in-law has had fabric that she has been saving up for baby blankets and asked if I wanted to come and sew one. I have not sewn in years, and this was a simple project for me to figure out how my machine works, and to maybe start doing some projects. It was great to finally get the machine out (which I love by the way) and do something productive!!

I have a few other projects that I need to get done so it will be living on the kitchen table for who knows how long.

Every time I have watched American Idol this season I always wish that I would have been the one to sell Randy the beaded necklace that he is ALWAYS wearing. I had some of those same beads when I was little. I could have gotten a lot of money.

K-Chez

For those of you who don't know, THE K-Chez will be performing July 18th at AT&T park in SF. I will be taking my very pregnant wife to the show, so we can sit out in the sun at the edge of the bay and enjoy some great music. Pre-sale starts Friday (4/3/09). Who's in? (Cheap seats are the goal!)
