Primary Song: My Heavenly Father Loves Me

Our kids love the primary song My Heavenly Father Loves Me.
Jane especially loves it. She asks to sing it all the time and wants it playing in the car whenever we go out.
She calls it the "Jesus Song." (Not sure where the name came from seeing how it does not
say Jesus in the song.) But pretty cute non-the-less.

I have been telling Lee that I need to record her singing it. She sings it best in the car. She will not let me sing with the CD, and gets supper mad if I do, so I get the joy of listening to her and Zac's sweet voices. It is pretty cute.

Last night while Lee was doing dishes he started singing it with her. Their first time around was the cutest thing ever! I tried to have them do it again, but of course the phone did not have enough room on it, so it stopped it half way through. :( I love the arm movements all around and the shirt lift up and quickly back down.
After grabbing another phone I helped her sing it in another room. I love it when she does actions, but my favorite part every time she sings it is "I'm glad that I live in this beautiful world." In the car she sings it at the top of her lungs.

I want to get a video of both her and Zac singing it too. But until then...here is Jane with her little voice.

House pictures.

We were facetiming with my family when my mom said, "You got something on your wall!"
Yes, I finally have something on my walls! It was true! :)

First off, I am not very good at decorating.
It belongs in the same group at shopping and I am definitely not a good shopper.
I always have something in mind that I want, but can never find it,
OR I can't find it for the price I want.
So, things just don't really get done. But kind-of a new years resolution
I decided that I needed to at least get some things on the wall that
we already own-and when I find what I really want it can be switched out.
Good thinking right? I laugh at the idea of finding what I really want. :)
Probably is not that impressive.
And I wont bore you with everything that we have hung up, but here are a few...
I started with the easiest room in the house.
JANE
The only thing that I bought to do her decorating was two canvasses
and the flowers for $1. I just pieced the things together that we had,  painted a little,
 and came up with this.
Her room is a favorite (I love the pink we chose.)

A friend in our San Ramon ward taught the YW how to do a canvas print
when I was in YW there. I made a few as gifts for people, and was excited to
finally make some to keep. I love these 3 pictures of Jane.
And I am happy with how they turned out.
(And thanks to Rachel for taking them!)

She has another pink frame to go on the white wall in
her room that I have need to get up.
I asked my sister, Claire, to find letters for Jane's name to match what she did for Zac.
(Another favorite in her room.)

ZACHARY
I just painted some frames we already had grey and hung up his name.
We finally finished his nightstand
and chest that we got for free and have had before we moved!
Probably will get a few more things up on the wall.
Maybe construction themed to go with wall paper?-Again, have the idea in my head. :)
Perfect spot for all his library books.

We got this painting in Utah at Christmas and got it up in the guest bedroom.

Outside we took apart and put back together the shed that was falling down.
We put fabric down and put all the rocks and added some fun stepping stone rocks.
(Yay for Lee's work for providing all rocks!)
Now we just need to work on our planters and get something growing!

Entryway. Still needs a rectangle grey pillow and a basket for shoes,
but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. We are hoping to get
family pictures done soon to put in middle frame.

Black and White pictures that we took of Italy when we visited.

And a fun picture to match our red and yellow chairs in the breakfast nook.

We have also been working in the yard lots. We painted the retaining wall, built another one off to the side, but in dividers for the flowerbeds, picked up 100's of rocks out of the dirt for the grass, planted seed and planted a tree. The grass is finally growing in so we are happy. The flower beds still need some work, so I am holding off on pictures for a little until we can have a little more done! But hopefully soon!

Small projects around the house have also been done. Touch up of some of the painting. The front door was FINALLY painted white (on the inside) to match the rest of the house! We have a desk in the office to make it a real "office" and the garage has a workspace for Lee's tools. May not sound like much, but I think we got off to a pretty good start for the year! We took a little break from "house work" and are hoping to get some good things done this spring so we can enjoy the summer months.

Beautiful March: Park and Beach

March could not have started out more beautiful.
The weather was A-mazing!
March 1st we headed out to the park.
Zac was insisting that his dog needed to do a walk.
I told him we could do one just around the outside
of our house and then head to the park.
He said that it really needed to walk TO the park.
There was no talking him out of it.
So, the dog walked to the park. I should have gotten a video of it becuase
it makes a little barking noise while you pull it.
He was so happy. And a beautiful day means there are lots of people out.
He got a lot of smiles.

The only problem with walking the dog to the park, is that
Z does not have his bike for the walk home.
And that makes for a little longer walk home for all of us.
Espically when he hands over the dog walking to Jane...
she is slow.

Jane pretty much thinks she can do anything her brother does.
And she almost can.
I was helping Zac with something when I looked over and she was almost
done with climbing to the top of this ladder.
I made sure she was ok before snapping a quick picture and helping her to the top.

By the end of the day the ponytail is usually out and Jane looks a little homeless.
I loved watching her doing puzzles this day with the baby in arm.
She was not very happy that I was videoing and not helping. :)

Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk
Because the kids had so much fun at the beach when we were in Southern California we thought it would be fun to hit up the beach in our area. We decided to head to Santa Cruz about an hour and a half away.
It's a pretty fun beach with a boardwalk.
The weather was pretty nice for beginning of March. We had our t-shirts off for most of the day. We all saw some sun and it was nice to get a little color to our cheeks. Z loves to just dig and dig and play cars. He also liked getting buried up to his head in sand. Jane on the other hand liked being on the blanket and going on walks. Both of the kids loved being in charge of keeping the seagulls away from us. :) They both were pretty cute roaring at them. We enjoyed a picnic lunch and Z got to pick one ride on the boardwalk before we went home. He first wanted to go on the BIG roller coaster, but after looking at all of his choices he decided the "big trucks" were his favorite. We laughed because it was the most boring ride of them all where you drove around twice on this track, but he proved us wrong by LOVING it. He was beyond happy and it was "THE BEST DAY EVER!" Jane enjoyed waving at her brother go by.
The kids crashed on the way home and we got some good yard work in before it got too dark to see.

End of Feb

On one afternoon walk a neighbor was walking out of
his house with a bag of ice cream sandwhiches and gave both kids one.
They were in heaven.
Somehow they survived the ride home and put in freezer until after dinner.

Zachary loves it when the boys around the corner leave up their ramp.
Please take note of the size of this ramp...
another post will be coming on the one Lee decided to make for Z.

 Jane's first pigtails!!
She looks so much older and a little toddler!
Some days it is hard to get two in...she sits still for one,
but the second one is always more of a challenge.
I love this "smile."

Morning run. I had to stop and click a picture.
It was a beautiful morning.

Not sure if Aunt Kenzie knows it, but Grandma was nice enough to
bring over some of her old stuffed animals for the kids. :)
Jane loves her new unicorn.
I was dying the day she had to have it come with us to drop Z off at school.
I couldn't even see her in the backseat.

Also, a favorite of hers is to sit her dolls next to her.
I thought she was pretty cute just sitting on the kitchen floor.

The kids LOVE to take turn pushing each other in the swings.
Too bad the person swinging never wants the other to put them. HA.
 I
Look at who got to hold baby-one-six!
This is rare. Picture worthy.

Puzzles!! They are a VERY close second to books.

 Afternoon snack one day.
I love this picture because it is totally the two of them.
 Hanging out outside.
Z likes to help water our little peach tree...crossing our fingers it will really grow!

Jane on "her phone."
