Easter Eggstravaganza

Every year our ward puts together a
fun little Eater party.
This year it was fun because Zac could actually DO
a lot of the activities they had.
Coloring pages, decorating (real) eggs...brave RS was in
charge of that!, decorating cupcakes (go YW!),
bunny hop, eggs toss, and bean bad toss (Lee was in charge of for the EQ).
Oh, and of course yummy food and egg hunt.

We thought it would be fun to bring along our
friends from our apartment complex.
And it was! :)
Our friends have a little boy, Mati, who is a few
weeks older then Zac.

The boys were loving the egg and bean bag toss.
So much that we were late going out for the egg hunt!

Friday night we did a "pratice run" with empty
eggs. Zac was really good at finding them and putting them in his bucket. On Saturday when he found the first one had candy...that about ended the hunt. He had to stop and eat before moving on. Some girls in our ward were really cute and took some of theirs and gave them to Zac to find.

Enjoying the goods.

We are so thankful for our Savior and the real meaning of Easter.

animals and jelly beans

My sister, Caitlyn, visited for a week.
I can probably talk for her and say that it was not the
most exciting trip she has taken out to California,
but it was warmer then Rexburg. :)

We did a lot of parks, playing with trucks,
walks, reading, napping, and just hanging out.
Even though it was "low key" it was sure fun to
have someone else tag along with our "everyday life."

We did try and do some fun things...
including-

THE OAKLAND ZOO.
This was Zachary's first time to the zoo.
He was pretty cute about it all.
At the beginning he could not get over how many
strollers and wagons there were.
He just kept saying "wheel" over and over.
But soon enough he found the animals.

The Giraffe's were a big hit!

The petting zoo was also a favorite.
It is amazing how much he LOVES animals.

Our little turtle.

It was a beautiful day.
It was so nice to be outside.
And Zac loved all the freedom to run, run, run.

WE went to one of my favorite places to take Zac-
Blackhawk Plaza.
(An outdoor shopping center by us.)
There are water fountains everywhere, ducks,
ramps for Zac to run on, stairs, and a play ground.
It is a really nice area to just walk around.

Zac showing Cait the "eye" of the duck.

We also went to the
JELLY BELLY FACTORY.

I think Zac played on this car for a good half
hour. And that is without us putting
any money in it!

Spotting the hats.
And getting ready for the tour.

Thanks again Cait for coming out!
Zac can't wait to roll down hills with you again.
And play with your pig!
Oh, and make you do whatever else he wants
you to--bossy boy!

keeping balance

It's been a busy month.
We had a vacation for a week.
Then a visitor for a week.
So blogging took a little break.
Before I get to pictures of the last two weeks...
here is a video from today.

I have been trying to capture Zachary balancing/walking
on the curb forever.
(We do this MANY times a day.)
Lately anytime Zac falls he now says "I spill."
And we just love his "oh man."
He sure makes us laugh these days.
He is talking so much these days...mostly in his
own language. But he will always
add in a few words that we know.
He is also really good at acting out things.
It is amazing how smart he is.
