4 months

In the mist of all the craziness of the holidays Jane
turned four months!

Height: 25 7/8in (94%)
Weight: 18lbs 9 1/2oz (99%)
Head: 16 3/4in (84%)

-She loves to make bubbles, which in turn makes a lot of droll.
-She had a hard month of eating! She would not eat,
so my milk was getting really low,
thankfully we both are doing much better.
(There was a lot of frustration from the both of us about it.)
-She is still working on sleeping all through the night.
We can get from about 10:30-5.
and then from 5-9/10.
She will still wake up a few times with gas.
-She has the biggest squishiest cheeks!
-She likes to smile.
-She really likes to be held.
-She is really good at reaching and grabbing for things.
-She watches me at all times.
-Does not like to be left alone.
(Could be the fact that she is worried about Zac
attacking/loving her??)
-Has started to sit in her bumbo chair.
-Can give a really good cry with BIG tears.
-Is easy going. We can do just about anything.
-Working on rolling over.
-Size 3 diapers.
-6-12 month clothes.
-Puts everything in her mouth.

2011 Family Pictures

The top two pictures were on our Christmas card this year.
But I thought it would be fun to share
some other ones from the day.

christmas spirit

Seeing how December is coming to an end fast(!),
and how I have not blogged about any
Christmas activities that we have done,
I'm going to squeeze them all in one post.

Here is our December:

Counting down to Christmas.
Our cousins gave us this tree to help us
countdown. Zac was supper good at putting up
the ornaments everyday.

Meeting Santa at the ward Christmas party-
he was shy, but sat on his lap!
Zac told Santa he wanted cars.

Decorating the Christmas tree.
Our experience on getting a tree this year was not
really one to remember.
Both kids were cold and also crying because of the loud chainsaw.
The three of us ended up sitting in the truck
while Lee got the tree.

As soon as the ornaments got out
Zac said, "balls" and just started throwing them.

San Ramon Tree Lighting.
It was windy, windy, windy!
But we had fun meeting up with our friends,
playing in some snow (I know, in San Ramon!!),
walking around, enjoying free hot chocolate,
and seeing all the booths there.
(Sadly, because of the wind and cold, we didn't
stay for the tree lighting...
but we drove past it almost every night!)

We did lots and lots of playing
with our nativity set.

And with magnets on the door.

Driving around looking at lights.
Zac loved this activity and was so cute!
He would say things like:
"That's amazing!"
"Ooohhh nice"
"That is awesome"
"Oh wow!"
"santa, snowman, blinking, etc."
This was a house we had to get out and take
a closer look.

We all enjoyed lots of yummy treats
from our friends.

And Zac enjoyed his first taste of "hot chocolate."
(or cooled down chocolate.)

Temple Hill.
I had never been to the Oakland temple lights.
So I made it a "must" this year.
It was very pretty.
And both kids were so happy.

They do a reenactment of the nativity.
Zac was loving watching it.
He especially was excited with the wise men.

San Francisco.
We enjoyed going into the city
for some dinner and seeing the Christmas craziness!

Running errands.
The kids were really good with all the
shopping that needed to get done.
This day Zac got to go with dad
to get the tires on the truck rotated.
They got to watch them work through the window,
while enjoying left over pizza, and car magazines.
Zac loved it.

My sister sent this email to Zachary.
And he LOVED it.
He watched about 50 times.

Growing up

My little baby is turning into a big kid. It's amazing how they just know how to be a kid. We didn't even show him how to ride on the cart like this. He just jumped up and held on.

And then Zac was playing at his friend Matai's house.
He jumped on the scooter and just started doing it.

Park

Our days at the park are getting numbered.
We have been really feeling like winter (even without the snow).
Not getting above fifty makes it sometimes hard to believe
we live in "Sunny California."
The cold has made it feel like
Christmas is around the corner (which I can't believe it is!).

This was last week.
We need more nice days like this one.
Our place is not big enough to be trapped inside!

Zachary was loving collecting sticks.

I had to put Jane in the swing to be able to get Zac
up into his swing. Z thought it was so funny.

Blessing Day

This little beauty was blessed by
Lee on December 4, 2011.

We have to laugh at how fast she is growing.
I tried on her blessing dress the week
before and it did not fit!
What was I thinking
that a three month dress would fit
one of our kids at three months?!
Luckily, I had bought this 6 month dress
before she was born.
It was a perfect fit!

Look at that smile!

The blessing was beautiful.

Jane was an angel for it.
Zachary on the other hand was not!
As we were sitting there during announcements
Zac was bugging Jane trying to take off her headband.
So when Lee stood up with Jane and walked to the
front he freaked out!
He started screaming and crying.
I tried to cover his mouth-no luck.
Tried a new book from Jenny-didn't work.
Grandma tried-he wouldn't get off my lap.
My visiting teacher tried to take him out-he would not go.
Finally Shelly grabbed him off the floor and went out the door.
Thanks Shelly.

Lee and I laughed that he cried through
BOTH his and Jane's blessings.

It was a busy Sunday for lots of people.
We had tried to invite all of our non member friends,
and some others, but none of them could make it.
We were a little bummed.

But we were thankful that our friends Chris, Jenny, Kate, Macy
and cousin Jordan could come!
We always enjoy seeing them.

Zac and Macy are just days apart.

And we love family.

A little fun comparison of us two years ago with
Zachary (one month)

And now.
