All the way from Oz

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Love,
Dorthy and the Cowardly Lion

pumpkin patch #3

We ended up going to 3 pumpkin patches this year!
Two were cool.
One lame.

Corn box=Big hit!
Even Jane got buried.

Zac was loving the maze.
He understood what to do.
When he got to the end he did not want to exit.
He just turned around and kept going finding his way
back to the beginning.
Lee got to stay in there much longer then I'm sure he wanted.

They really have been fun little outings for our
family. It's fun to watch Zac with different
activities and animals.
We are exited to try some children's museums
this coming winter.

puzzles

Every time we go to the library we do puzzles forever.
It used to just be only cars and trains, but
we have moved onto the shapes, numbers,
and alphabet ones.
So when we were at Michael's and I saw these
for $8.00 AND I had a 40% off
I just had to get them.

I guess this day Zac thought it would be fun to turn
all the pieces over and make it more challenging. :)

He thinks the letter "A" is really called
apple. Whenever he sees an "A" he says apple.

Numbers.

We also like to go on walks around the complex and
read the letters and numbers on the license plates.
It's really cute.

A++++

A++++ is the grade that Jane received from the doctor on her growth.

Wight: 14lbs 6oz (99%)
Height: 23 1/2 in (87%)
Head: 15 1/2 (66%)

Jane at 2 months:
She smiles.
She coos.
She will go to bed around 10:30-11. Wake up for a feeding around 4ish. And sleep until 8 or 9. (or until her brother runs in the room and wakes her).
She keeps her legs in the froggy position a lot.
She has super bad gas at night. So sad.
She loves to look at herself in the mirror on the play mat.
She mostly sucks her pointer finger on her left hand, but has recently found both hands.
She sleeps in her car seat at night. Otherwise in her bassinet she wakes up every 20 min!
She loves to have blowouts at the park (I always have to come prepared).
She has started to ride in the front pack.
She is not really into tummy time anymore.
She likes to be held facing out or looking over my shoulder. We do not have cuddly kids!
She likes to do paddy cake.
She is adored by her brother (and her parents!).

pumpkin patch fun

Pumpkin patches are one of those things
that are a lot more fun when you have a kid.

Zachary was loving everything.
The real animals.
The fake animals.
The play toys.
The wooden signs for pictures.
The pumpkins.-big and small.
Even the dirt was fun.

We went on a beautiful night on Saturday.
We might hit up another one (or two)
before Halloween.

all done.

Just in the last little bit Zac started to chew on his binky.
I think mostly does it when he is playing in his bed
quietly before and after naps.

Last Friday I found the top part of
Zac's binky hanging on by a tread.
I was worried that he was going to choke on it
if I put him to bed with it,
so i ripped it off not knowing what else to do!

Mind you-this was Zac's Very. Last. Binky.

We all live for his binky.
We have never fought him to go to bed.
All we have to say is "I'm going to get your binky."
And he goes running for bed.
He takes naps.
He plays in his crib.
I didn't know if our life would turn upside down for all of us.
Some kids don't nap when they don't have one.
I NEEDED him to nap!
And like his bed.

I didn't know if we were going to have to give
one of Jane's binky's to Zac to have him sleep that night.
But I thought...we have to get rid of it sometime.
And I told him when he broke this one, we had to throw it
away and there were no more.

That night he didn't even ask for it.
And we have had a nap everyday since!
We got lucky.
