so cal

Last Week we took a (much needed) mini vacation
down to Southern California.
Our friends had a timeshare for the week
and invited us to come with them.
We were only able to make it for the tail end of the week,
but enjoyed every minute we had.
We can't thank them enough. It was perfect!

Zac was so cute.
We were not sure if he would like sand because he
doesn't like grass, but boy were we wrong!
He LOVED it!
This first picture is right when we sat him down in it.

He couldn't stop playing in it!
I was glad he never put any in his mouth.

The ocean water was a little too
COLD for him (and me!).

Zac and Colby played really well together
(or right next to each other).
Zac LOVED to watch him crawl around.
Anytime he was in the room he was just watching Colby.

He was such a happy boy!

Lee and Brent built a "sandcastle"
(more like a BIG pile of sand) with a moat.
Zac wanted to help out some.

He just didn't want to stop playing.

I love these shots with his belly hanging out!

We went to the pool.
The first time Zac was not sure about it.
But day two he decided it was ok
and we got some smiles.
We can't wait to do more swimming this summer!

Lee, Zac, Allie, Jessica, Colby, and Brent.

Before we headed home we went and
visited cousin Brad.
We sure like visiting with him.
We wished it could have been longer!

Thanks a bunch Brent and Jessica for the fun vacation!
We sure enjoyed it! And we can't wait to do it again!

Videos

Here are a few videos of Zac doing funny things.
Enjoy.

His new favorite thing is to knock down the blocks with
his head or feet!

He loves water! Esp drinking it.

Sorry it's sideways.
But he is really into clapping lately.

Competing with Little Mermaid.

He says baba or dada all the time. But whenever
I get out the camera-he goes for the cord.

A Good Week

This past week we had a lot of fun.

It was a BEAUTIFUL 75-80 degrees everyday!!

We spent time at the park with friends,
shopping, rolling around the floor, going on runs,
visiting Lee at work and getting ice-cream,
and to top the week off we headed into San Fran for a fun Friday afternoon.

Zachary was so cute on BART.
I can not keep him still, so I was letting him touch everything
(don't worry, we washed our hands well!).
He loved looking out the windows, smiling at all of the people
getting on and off. He really liked it when the announcer came on for the stops.
He was so good. I wish that I could travel like that everywhere.

We met up with Lee who had been doing
work in the city that day.
We first did a little shopping and
then we decided to head to the park.

There were a lot of dogs at the park that Zac loved.
He had never really paid attention to dogs that have passed by
but at this park, he was loving all of them.
He couldn't stop staring.

We then headed to the bay by Crissy Fields.
It started getting a little cooler
and a little windy, but it was still so nice out.

You have got to love this picture! :)

AND...
Later that night when we got home we found
out that Zac got his first tooth!
(I guess that helps explain the drool and hand in the mouth.)

grass

What does Zac do when
he sits on the grass?

Give us good faces...

Lift his legs...

Touch it with his fingertips....

And curl his toes.

What a funny boy.

He is going to experience sand later this week.
Can't wait to see what he thinks of that!

st. patrick's day

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!

We did a little celebrating with some friends on
Saturday at the Dublin St. Patrick's Day parade
.
It was a beautiful day.

Afterwords we went to the Oakland Temple where Lee helped out
at a Youth Conference for a few hours.
Zac and I had fun enjoying the nice weather.
We spent most of our time in front of the water fountains
(We watched them for over 45 minutes straight.
This kid LOVES water.)
and walking the grounds.
