First off, yes, I have a facebook account. Second, I hardly ever do anything with it (pictures are proably long over due). Third, it is so random that I actually signed up for tickets...
On facebook the other day there was a post to win free Keith Urban tickets to either the SF or LA concert. I thought I needed to take advantage of where I'm living and try for some tickets. The next day they posted that the winners were listed. I was on the top of the list!! (Helped that my name is Allison, and that they went by first names.) I couldn't belive it! And I didn't. Who knows what scames go on on fb?? But they had a website you could go to, and you could email verizon (they were sponsering the tour) if you had questions. I guess a lot of people had questions about if it was "for real" that they did a commonly asked question thing and it sounded promising. Nothing to really loose right?
So, Lee and I took off last night for our Verizon VIP tour Keith Urban-No Frills. It felt so weird to actually be doing something on a week night for once. It was such a nice drive into SF. I couldn't belive it when I only saw 5 cars a head of us at one point on the freeway!! I guess you could say we made great time.
They said online that I'll I needed was to provide photo ID and I would be handed over two free tickets. Ha. I was laughing a little when I handed them my ID not saying anything and then they handed me back two tickets! IT REALLY WAS FOR REAL!
It was such a fun night!! It was totally a different concert then I have ever been to. It was in a smaller venue with no assigned seating. Only Keith Urban played at the concert, so it was really cool. I was surprised at how fast the two hours went and how talented he really is. He is so good at the guitar! It was amazing. And I never saw him play the same one for any of the songs! All of the band members got new ones after each song. He was really a good performer!! And I do love his music. Plus, he really does have very nice hair.
Overall we went away really happy. It was one of the most random things we have done. All for only $5.00 for parking (Can you belive that?? And in SF!) It was hard to think that it was even real. We are so so happy we went.
Gotta love country. And I do.
Next up...K-Chez.

Dear Wifie,
Thanks for the fun night. I couldn't have had more fun. The performance was awesome. I think not only did I enjoy the music, but so did the baby. We will have to do that again some time. I can't wait to see how you blog about it.
Love,
Lee
PS - July 18th at AT&T Park will be AWESOME. This was totally a perfect "taste" for me. I can't wait! If anyone out in the blogging world wants to join us for the July 18th show, let Allie know.
Love,
Lee

IT'S A...
BABY BOY!!
On Friday (3/20) we went to the doctor to find out what we are expecting. It turned out to not be much of a surprise for us, we were going to be more shocked if it wasn't a boy. In fact, before we found out what the baby was, Lee gave me flowers tied with a blue ribbon.
So, everyone in our families all feel pretty good about themselves right now knowing that they guessed it right!!
We are very excited about this!! It's weird because whenever someone says they are expecting, I automatically think "girl." So, I guess that is what I thought we would have. But then as time went on, we just had a feeling it was a boy. I thought this mostly because I don't have any boy names that I really am passionate about. And I think Lee thought we would have a boy because he was a little worried about it being a boy (with only having sisters). Don't ask me why. He knows everything there is to know about cars, army, construction, legos, and such. But I think that we have had enough fun playing with the little boys in our ward when we were sunbeam teachers, that he can see that boys are not that bad.
It's a good thing that we still have 4 months left to figure out a name, and actually buy something for this guy. So far we don't have one thing for him!

black is apparently slimming.
HALF WAY THERE!!
20 WEEKS!

I guess that my last picture was "good" but that I should not be wearing black "because people wear black to look thinner." I guess that I don't want to be looking "thinner" for my pictures these days. Ha, I wish!! I did however NOT wear black this day, AND it is a week later, AND my tummy is for sure there, so this might be a "great" picture for me to post?! (I hope this one is better...you know who.)
From here on out, I might just do a monthly photo post or something (and I might have to wear black for some of those!).

This was me last Friday (3/13) at the half way mark.

baby cake.
"At young woman's we decorated cakes with that hard frosting stuff. I didn't know what to put on it, so I decided to put a baby on it for you!"
I just loved it! I thought it was pretty good for a 12 year old. So good I wanted to share it with you all. I thought that the yellow blanket was very fitting since we wont find out until Friday on what he/she is. I think that we might have to hire her to make the baby cake at his/her one year birthday party. (Hopefully by then the baby will have some hair!)
I just wish that we got to taste some of it too.

19 weeks.
I am about a week behind in posting this. In fact, the 20 week picture will be taken tomorrow, but I thought I better get this one up because you never know how long it will take to get up the next.
My tummy might not look that big to some of you...but I think that in fact it has doubled in size from last week to today.
*I'm not sure how often I'll do these posts of me...I just thought the family might like to see some proof that maybe there really is a baby coming!!

birthday's
a few days late...but i wanted to wish my little brother, Will, a very happy birthday. hopefully you are also celebrating it the entire week because then this post would be very fitting. hope you had a great day. love you.

...one of our many finer pictures together.
(maybe we need to take more the next time we see each other?)
i also wanted to wish the famous Wendy a very happy birthday. if i have my facts right she was the first girl baby to be born in the hospital that great day of 3-12-86 and all the little girl scouts just huddled around to get a look at her. yes, that is right she was born on national girl scouts day and is proud of it. i think that later in life she used this to her advantage to get people to buy cookies from her. if only i had a picture of her in her uniform...

What a "Lucky" weekend...
In many, many ways I don't think I could have had a more enjoyable weekend. Work has been a brutal grind lately and everything from Friday to Sunday night was just wonderful...maybe even lucky! Here's why (in order of favorites):
1. Friday night while watching The Office and enjoying Allie's laughter I felt the baby "wiggle" or "not be lazy". Totally awesome. At times it was hard to tell if it was the baby or Allie laughing, but none-the-less I felt the baby move.
2. Scootering in the sunshine. Nothing beats 63° sunshine in Livermore on my favorite path. Thanks to Kenzie & Kya, I also got plenty of tree climbing, bouncing, peeking, & resting. Maybe next time we will have a 5th scooter for dad!
3. Crossed everything off our chore list. My snow gear has been cluttering the front room for way too long, so when the Eagle Scout project got postponed last minute we took advantage of the early arising and cleaned the garage, fixed the headlight, put snowboard stuff in the garage, went to DI, truck wash and exercised.
4. Spent part of Sunday night playing with our former 'beemer, visiting with our 'beemer's dad, and making cookies. Some of the best domino punching I have ever seen, as well as some great child to couch dropping, cookie dough tasting, visiting, etc.
5. Sloppy Chicks. If you have never had these, you clearly don't eat with us or visit us often enough. A few weeks ago Allie had these just waiting for me when we got back from the temple, I forgot how much I love them. Mom cooked some up yesterday for the family dinner and it was delightful. Family dinner is always a treat - especially when the treat is brownies, home made chocolate sauce, and vanilla ice cream. Super Yum!
6. Cought up on 24. It was so intense that I couldn't actually finish my ice cream, luckily I had a buddy sitting by me who was able to eat during a time when I couldn't!
7. Truck wash. I just love when our cars get all cleaned. I have neglected our means of transportation for quite a while now and enjoyed cleaning up the truck. Allie has been taking great care of it for me while I have my long commute.
8. Lucky came out. Yup, lucky needed some sun, so he got to sit on our window sill this weekend. He couldn't have been happier!
9. Fruity Pebbles. I rarely get cereal, but on the weekends, I almost finish a box myself!
10. New place to find a house. During Allie's extended run on Saturday, we went past a neighborhood that I haven't visited before. The houses seemed nice. A few had some great trees in the back yards. I think I might also want a house there, and as Allie pointed out we will need an orange tree and lemon tree. Unfortunately I'm not as gifted with plants (remember Peace?) as my in-laws, so I might need a few lessons when we actually buy our own place!
As for pictures, they might show up later...we'll see...

Our Baby Isn't Lazy...
It took a long time, but at 18 weeks I started to feel the baby move. For the past 3 days the baby has not wanted to stop. Last night I went to sleep laughing. It makes me happy. Now I just can't wait to Lee to feel it.
