PJ's

Whenever Zac gets to pick out Jane's PJ's he
wants her to have on the
strawberry ones.
The other day he was being funny
and asking for her kiwi ones.

Jane just watches Zac.
And Zac likes to entertain and be silly with her.
I love the leg kicks.
And she just started clapping some.

Here she is showing off a new trick.
I love the little sounds she makes.

Zac got a turn too!

2 1/2

On February 5th Zac turned two and a half!
Kind of crazy to think I have a kid that old!

Zachary has been a joy to have.
I can't say that every minute of everyday, but he really is a good kid.

Zac found these sunglasses on the way out the door on day.

-He is pretty obedient. But if he doesn't obey I just tell him what he can't do if he doesn't do something. He obeys fast. (I try to stay true to my word.)

Playing hid-in-seek.
-He is full of energy and fun. Always wants to do something.

-He is super nice. His church leaders have loved him because he always wants to include everyone.

At super franks with Cardon (and Colby).
Hanging out with Sara, while I was home packing.
-He loves his friends. Sara, Cardon, and Colby get talked about a lot.

Towing his car.
-He likes to do everything "fast." We don't slow down lots.

-He still naps, thankfully, we all need down time!

Free firetruck. He collected random things and rode it around.
-He is obsessed with cars and can tell you many different types while on the freeway including: jeeps, hummers, mini coopers, vans, pickup trucks, (and the other day while with grandma) Lamborghini. He definitely knows what cars are "fast cars" by there sound and spoiler. He also knows tanker, dump truck, tow, and all other construction trucks. Right now we get a lot of " look!" and if we don't look and respond someone is not happy. Oh, and I'll make special not that "truck" now starts with an "f."

Holes in the toes of his shoes.
-He had worn holes through his shoes (and now socks) from riding his bike.

Play dough with monster pieces.
-He has discovered there are numbers beyond 10. And they get mixed on lots now with counting. He can count objects to ten pointing to them as he goes.

-Colors are still a challenge. Some days he is really good. Others it is just a guessing game. Whenever we practice he thinks he is so silly and says the wrong color for everything.

Playing with dad's old Legos.
-He now thinks its fun to bug Jane. And is not very happy when she takes his cars. I see a lot of tears in the future about this. We have to watch him now because he likes to push her over. Don't get me wrong, she is still a favorite, and he loves her to death. Still lots of hugs!

-He can get Jane to laugh by saying "ya." And she is always watching him.

Traffic Jam. (He has been in the Bay area long enough to know about those.)

-Some sayings he always says: "turn right to go left" (from the movie cars) when ever he is turning (matchbox cars or his bike), "rainbow," "thank you, you're welcome," "zac's a boy," "little walk."

Line up of cars.
-He was introduced to the show "wonder pets" at grandmas and sings the song all the time (mixed with I am a child of God). And when he knows he is in trouble he will start singing it (or any other song on his mind) at the top of his lungs so he can't hear you talk.

-Is always thirsty. He drinks so much watered down apple juice.

-Loves anything tomato based. (red sauce, tomato soup, salsa, pizza sauce, etc. but will not eat a real tomato.)

Bubble bath!
-The worst when it comes to brushing teeth!

-He is also not very good at lying down where you want him to for diaper changes. He will go on the other side of the room and want to be changed there. It's really annoying.

Enjoying his free balloon.
Barnes and Noble is a favorite!
-At least once a day I get asked if we can go to Target (he just plays with all the cars there) or some type of store.

-Not a chance he is thinking about potty training. He is scared of the toilet and will not sit on it.

Helping Grandma make cookies.
-Thinks grandma is his new best friend. Does not want me around when she is around. Yesterday he was telling me to get out if the room bc he was doing things with her.

New car seat= new seat for baby one-six (in cup holder)
-LOVES nursery. We went to grandpa and grandma's ward and he walked right into class saying bye. (I think it's really the trains, cars, and snacks.)

Miss match shoes.
-Gets really lazy when it comes to taking on and off his shoes. It is always "too hard." Right now we are working in pulling down and up his pants. (this kid needs baby steps.)

-Always wants to hug Jane. He will say "twins." because I always say that about how they look like each other.

He said he was "practicing sitting" like Jane did.
-Very observant. Can notice things from a mile away.

-Thinks it is so funny to call me Allie.

Playing games on iphone.

-Loves iPhones.
-Has a good imagination.

"lion king" (I think all the rocks reminded him of pride rock.)

-Wares 3T pants and 4T shirts.

-Can walk forever. He never is in a stroller or cart anymore.

While packing we found this! And had to try it on again. :)

We sure think he is fun. And love him to death.

Real food?

Not that any of this is really considered "real food" but Jane had a few tastes of some "snack type" foods over the weekend. She is always reaching for whatever we are eating, so we thought it would be good to get her some finger food. She has given us some pretty good reactions. Not really loving them yet.
In the first video zac is really excited to feed her some puffs. She was not very sure about the texture. She gives Zac some pretty good smiles. "thank you, you're welcome"
And last night while Jane was having some squash zac wanted to take a video of Jane eating (second video). He is always excited for new things for her.

Goodbye apartment living

I have not even mentioned it on the blog, but we found a house! We are supper excited about it.
(More details later...)

I handed in the keys today for our apartment. I am a little sad about it. I have LOVED where we live. It's pretty, zac can do whatever (like ride all of his outside toys inside, spill, bring sand toys inside, etc) bc we are renting, it's close to many parks, walking distance to the grocery store, safe, near friends, a swimming pool a step out the door, two miles from the church, good place to run, and comfortable. We are mostly just sad to leave our ward and friends.

BUT there are a few things we might not miss much: never finding parking, Bollinger canyon stop lights, upstairs neighbors who never sleep, half size washer and dryer, door dings, noisy appliances (fridge and dishwasher), having Jane in our room, and five speed bumps.

We are getting the new place ready. It's been kind of crazy. So wish us luck! We are stepping into an adventure.
Jane was good at helping pack.

I'm glad that Jane has learned to sit on her own.
She would last the longest just sitting and playing.
She was so cute with this block playing with it for over 10 minutes.

Saying goodbye to our house.
