water park fun.

With the warm weather we have been hitting
our pool as much as possible.
But today we went over to the high school to
play the the kids area.
It was nice to have a shallow pool that Zac could crawl and walk in.
It was also fun to see him with the spraying water.

We went with our friends we met from our complex.
Matai is two weeks older then Zac.
And they are so fun together.
They both love water. I would even say that
Matai loves it even MORE then Zac!!
He does not stop smiling, splashing, and talking the entire time
we are in the water.
It's fun to have someone who keeps up with Zac.
And it's nice for me to have a friend to
do things with too!

playing in the backyard

Yesterday we went over to Grandma and Grandpa Cooper's
for a little food and fun in the backyard.
Unfortunately they are in Canada so we
missed being with them.
But, we are glad they could take a vacation.
We can't wait for them to return have Zac show
them his new tricks!

It was in the 90's and hot. It being Sunday we couldn't hit
the pool, so we decided to get some buckets
and toys and just let Zac play.
While looking for a shallow bucket I came across
Zac's old bathtub and it worked perfect.
He enjoyed being able to stand on his own and splash.
And we enjoyed some yummy corn on the cob,
grilled chicken, grilled bell peppers, and grapes.
It was so nice to enjoy the weather (in the shade)
and relax.

clap, clap, clap...

splash, splash, splash...

look at these mom...

Here are a few videos of Zac showing off...

...that's right! We have a little walker!
I love the bounce that he does when he is just standing.
We are going to be running after him soon!
He just does not slow down.

county fair

Last night we took a little trip to the Alameda County fair.
It was a beautiful night.
We had tons of fun watching the rides, looking at the animals,
playing in the little kid exploring area, and just walking around.

Watching the farm animals.
Some of them even got claps!

They had a "bean box" for kids to play in.
Zac loved the trucks they had to play with!
Surprise, surprise. :)

Ridin' the tractor.
It's fun because he will try and climb on things
(esp. his mini coop).
He knows to lift his leg, but can never get it all the way up.

Our little cowboy.

10 months

10 most comments/compliments
Zachary gets...

1. His big blue eyes. They are usually the first thing that
anyone comments on. I love them.
They are the number one thing that makes him look like me.

2. His hair. Everyone always laughs and
always tells me how much they love his hair.
(He is still working on growing
some on the sides. Up top he's got it down!)

3. His tan hands. Yes, this little boy can TAN! He reminds
me a lot of my brother John, who is an Indian
by the end of the summer.
Zac's arms and hands are so very tan
from having them on the tray during his stroller rides.

4. How much he loves bouncing! My primary class asked what
his favorite thing to do was and I told them jumping.
When he started to do it for them they were amazed.
Then they thought I was making him do it, until I handed
him off to one of the kids, and they couldn't get over how
it really WAS him doing it!
He still loves it. It is amazing how long he can keep going.

5. How big he is. Usually when ever I tell anyone
how old he is (mostly at the store) they always
make some comment on how big he is.
(FYI: We had to go to the doctors for a high fever-
he was 21.8 lbs at 10 months.)

6. How much he loves water. People at the pool are
amazed at how much he loves the water. I even put
him all the way under a few times and he didn't care.
Anywhere there is water...you will find Zac.

7. How much he can move, move, move. And how fast!
At the park he will walk me around taking me to where he wants
to go. People are always commenting on how
good he is at walking (almost on his own).

8. How strong he is. The other day at church he was doing
pull ups on the bench. He definitely can push
me around. But I have to pretend I'm the stronger one!

9. How he can make the faces he does. He has been
told that he has an elastic face. He is really good at making the
best faces. Especially if there is sun or wind involved.
(This is another trait that he got from me.)

10. How cute he is. It is always nice when people comment
on just how cute he is. He is always making cute noises while trying to
talk to people. And he has the cutest smile.
Overall, we just think he is a cutie.

Some fun pictures of Zachary during May-

Zac loves to walk along the walls of the house.

I wish it wasn't blurry. But he was just moving so fast.
Zac will crawl around the house holding onto
his toy rings. He makes us laugh.

Some bath photos:
Notice: eyes, faces, and farmers tan line (it's even better now!)

I love it when he is so happy his feet kick!

bubbles

Bubbles are a big hit at our house!
I love it when Zac gets on his knees to
try and pop them!

splashing!!

Have I mentioned that Zac loves water??
He doesn't even care if the water gets him or dad
in the face. He just keeps splashing!!
What a little fish!

oakland temple

I wish that I could say that Zac's favorite
song was "I love to see the temple."

But I'm afraid it would have to be
"I love to see the fountains at the temple."
He could say there for hours
watching them, walking by himself around
the edges, and trying to get in the water.

Last Friday I took Zac to the
Oakland temple
to meet up with one of my
best friends, Ann Marie, from BYU.
We had a great time talking about babies
and our life happenings.
It was fun to catch up with her and her husband.
I wish we were closer, but visits are always fun!

And yes, after they left, we stayed for about
another hour walking around the fountains
and the river. :)

Trying to get a picture with
Zac looking at you these days is almost impossible!

Oh, and thanks Ann Maire for saving
Zac's shoe from going all the way down the river!
He wanted to get in THAT bad!

They make us laugh...
but mostly because HE makes us laugh.
