Jane 2 Years

Jane 2 years
August 18, 2013
37.5 in-99%
33.2lbs-96%

-such a mommy. Will rock her babies, sing to them, and take care of them.
-LOVES her bed and wants to stay in it for hours. Really she just LOVES her binky and only gets it in bed, so she wants to stay in as long as she can.
-likes to lay down in the bath and “swim”.
-has taken off her diaper a few times during nap time, so now she wears leggings with a romper over them at nap times.
-can peddle a tricycle.
-loves to swing, or push people/empty swings. Most of our time at the park is spent doing this. She can also climb most anything she wants all by herself at the park.
-always wants to say the prayer, usually just saying in a cute squeaky voice, “thankful we can have a good day” about 6 times, and then turns to me saying, “what else?”
-when she wakes up in the morning and her hair is everywhere she brushes it back with her hand and says, “crazy hair!”
-she decides how she wants her hair done everyday. I ask, “one, two pigtails, or one in the back?” And she will answer how she wants her hair done. Easy for me!!
-she has been known to bite Zac when he is wrestling/bugging her. Never done it to another kids…yet.
-every night I ask, “are you going to do a big sleep? Or little sleep?” and she will usually say “little.” But we all know that really her brother will do the little sleep! She is our better sleeper!
-she LOVES shoes. I avoid the shoe section in any store!
-was picky eater for a few months and now will eat anything...And finish anything Zac does not want. She will not touch anything with potatoes.
-always asks me to do a dashed “A” on paper so she can trace it with a marker. She can recognize many of the letters.
-she knows names of colors but can’t recognize them yet.
-maybe will watch a total of 10 minutes of tv a day. She usually gets bored and goes into the toy room and plays.
-LOVES watching sports. When we go on walks to the school and there is soocer/baseball/basketball practice or kids just playing catch she stands and watches until I come and pick her up.
-she is also pretty good at sports. Likes to play basketball and baseball. She is super cute jumping on the tramp and has just started to do “bums”.
-has gotten really into playing with matchbox cars lately. This has it’s good/bad days with her brother.
-can communicate anything she wants. Its funny to hear her tell Lee about the day at dinner because sometimes they are not things we necessarily did that day.
-started acting like a 2 year old a few months before her birthday. Just started being stubborn and saying, “I do it!” for EVERYTHING!
-on the way to Grandma Coopers she sees model home flags and sings “Happy Birthday to Grandma” every time without fail.
-ignores me all the time when I call her over to do something. Especially changing her diaper!!!
-LOVES her brother. They have so much fun together and it’s so cute to hear them talk to each other.
-books are still a huge love in her life.
-wearing size 2T clothes, but really outgrowing most of them. Size 3 or 4 are the next purchase for winter!
-she loves her painted toenails.
-loves to point out slug bugs and can beat Zac to finding them sometimes.
-all day long asks, “where is dad?”
-has started always wanting a baby in her bed with her. This might be some of the factor as to why some days she won’t take a nap. She is just busy playing in her crib.
-can name all of her friends in her church class, plus others that we hang out with.
-loves nursery.
-when preschool has been at our house she is right there along with the other kids. She loves to do songs and be a part of things with other kids.
-LOVES (real) babies, but I don’t trust her for a second with them. She has been known to pick up her friend, Paige, by the neck many times.
-Is more of my snuggler. But only for a minute. She likes to have her back or arm scratched while you are holding her.
-many times when we are driving Z will spot something and she will say, “oh man, I missed it.” It’s pretty  cute.
-has this low voice that she will sometimes talk with. It is pretty funny.
-basically does what Zachary wants her to do. And is a pretty good sport about it all.
-Takes A LOT of teasing from her brother. Usually her dolls/strollers being taken away and him running!
-LOVES to dance in the living room.
-her job before dinner is to get her bib.
-when I tell her I love her, she answers with “I love daddy.”  But if Lee says I love you, she will say “I love mommy.” Basically she will just come up with another name.
-she loves to go in at night and give Z a kiss and say I love you. It’s pretty precious.
-she loves to do our “Go Cooper’s cheer and family hug.” I get a kick out of her everytime we do it.
-we laugh about her little short shorts and tennis shoes outfits. She looks like she is ready to work out.
-she has the funniest little run. Her legs move fast but she does not seem to go a very far distance.
-she has the best laugh. And loves it when Lee tickles her.
-whenever Zac is at preschool she just asks to go to the park and swing the entire time (so we usually end up going).
-she would love to have my phone all day if she could.
-loves girly things. We don’t have many, but she gravitates to them at the store.
-says, “bless you” when someone coughs or sneezes.
-calls Zachary “Zacy most of the time”
-only wants to ride her bike about a half a block before she wants to just walk.
-when she wants you to pick her up she will say, “hold you.”
-does not have the speed that Z has when we are trying to get out the door, clean up, or do an activity. She usually is still looking at that "one toy" while Z runs around doing everything. It's pretty funny.
-i love to just have her talk to me. She is so sweet and cute.
-i also just love watching her do things.
-she makes life slow down in pace and sometimes we just need that in our day!!

A rundown of pictures of Jane from this past summer. We have had some much fun with her in our family!! (June, July, August 2013)

September 2013

Labor day weekend: Boating and hanging out with friends!
Jane waiting her turn to knee board. She was jumping on the board before Z even had time to get off!
Two blonde babes with their babies.
Lawrence Hall of Science with the Haymans.
Jane, with hand in pocket, sporting her band aid from two year doctors appointment.
Z loves to match Jane and will wait to see what she picks out to wear before choosing his outfit. Pretty cute!

Windy day, so we got out the kite. Jane actually was not as scared of it this time and was laughing and loving it.
Thursday nights are lawn nights. The kids with their earplugs in ready to help dad mow!
Sept 10. School started up again! We started at our house for the first two weeks. There are 5 kids, but Jane is lucky and gets to join in when it is at our house. Z loves everything about school. And has grown up so much in the last year.
Still needs rock climbing wall and some other things, but Lee put together this play structure for the kids. It's amazing what a free slide will get you to make. :)
Picnic lunch at the part after last day of preschool at our house for a few months!
Z riding his trike to the park. Later that night enjoying a bike ride.

Sept 15 we announced to our families that baby #3 was on its way in March.
Cones can be found everywhere! They are around me while I'm doing dishes, changing J's diapers, reading books, vacuuming, etc. This morning I came home from my run to find Z like this watching his show. Ha.
Solo trip to Utah for best friend, Lisa Frischknecht's wedding.
The Jensens and me.
Bridesmaids.
Maren giving me a scooter ride!
BYU/Utah game with Dad. Fun! Sad ending to the game.

Friday while I was in Utah Grandma Cooper took the kids to Tilden Park.

The Zoo on Saturday with Dad. There was a downpour that the kids loved.
Jane at church. She looks so cute! Lee wins the best dad award for doing a ponytail! The kids had so much fun. Nice to know they were totally fine with me gone. Lee did say Jane asked a million times where I was and would answer herself, "Mommy on airplane." :)

Z had a dentist appointment this month and got these signs with cones. He set them all up for when he took his nap.
Jane wore her backpack the entire time Z was at school. She makes me laugh.
We took a cabin trip with the Richards. Our families have so much fun together. It was a much needed relaxing weekend!
The kids going ahead of us "slow adults" while mini golfing.
Sunday walk to the lake. The weekend was beautiful!

Visiting our old stomping ground in San Ramon. The kids had more fun in their clothes in the water then they do when we bring our swimming suits. Usually they don't touch splash pads. :)
