A “little” Christmas in August

At Christmas breakfast my mom said, "Lee and Allie I didn't get a present that I was expecting to get." I thought someone in the family had snitched on our idea to get my dad and mom some Wicked tickets, but by the time they went on sale they were sold out! So, we had to just resort to plan B...

....little did my mom know that she would be receiving a "late" present in January.

We were later informed that the back needed to read: "mini Cooper." But hey, at least we were somewhat creative!

We are VERY excited to announce to the blogging world that we are expecting a baby!! We have been slow at getting the news out, so being 16 1/2 weeks along, I thought it was about time to finally let everyone know. The baby is healthy and everything looks good. I'll have to post some cute pictures of it soon!!!

To see, or not see...

One of my dad's favorite movies is Pink Panther. Whenever any scene of the movie is even mentioned, my dad looses it completely and almost falls to the floor laughing. It is actually so addictive, that many of us have endured the movie (more than once) just to catch a glimpse of this laughing routine. Somehow, Allie has not yet been able to complete the movie - she keeps falling asleep.

Well, recently he returned from a movie with my mom talking about how there is a new movie coming out that he just cant wait to see...

Today, in honor of the great presidents of these United States, we went to see this show, hoping for another taste of dad's infectious laughing. Sadly, we didn't get to enjoy it. The move was so pathetic that not even dad let out a laugh. In addition , Allie fell asleep - AT THE THEATER - even with all the treats I could pack into her purse. We all basically left the theater rather disappointed that Pink Panther 2 couldn't compare to the first. Maybe the 3rd will redeem itself and draw the Coopers back...but it could be lost forever.

But don't worry too much, I assume that the next time we are up at the cabin, the Pink Panther will still get turned on at some point and we will all gather to enjoy dad's laughter.
