speed

Monday of this week:
Zac's arms are what have been slowing him down.
He has always loved standing,
so an arm workout is a little different for him.
But he is getting it!

This is today (Wednesday):
He is getting faster.
And definitely climbs on EVERYTHING!
We have had a few bonked heads.

He likes walking the most.
I'll have to get some videos of him doing that.
He just needs to hold onto one figure and he is off.

National Park Week

We love it when we can get into things for FREE, so when all
National Parks were free last week, we NEEDED to go.

There were quite a few to choose from in our area.

We decided that since I (and Zac) had never been to Muir Woods,
and Lee had not been for years, we would go there.

We had a wonderful time.
The Redwoods are AMAZING trees.
It was perfect weather and a beautiful day.

Zac started out in the stroller.
But wanted to touch everything,
so he didn't last long.

Zac enjoyed the fences the most.

Zac LOVES to push the stroller.

And he loves the camera.

He was showing us how old the tree was.
I think he said it was 973 years old, but if we came back
in July it would have been 974 years if it wasn't cut
right here.

Zac, our future Arborist.

What I found this morning

I think it's time to move the crib down.

hard at play

Zac is OBSESSED with wheels these days.
He cannot leave his stroller or his mini coop alone.
I like how he goes for the wheel that is furthest away.

He loves eating his little snacks.

Showing off!

birthday weekend

This past weekend could not have been
a more beautiful weekend to have a birthday!

On Saturday morning we started it off by
doing a walk for Cystic Fibrosis for
Zac's little friend Colby.

Zac loved his new frisbee.

We sure love Colby!

Later that afternoon we went on a hike
at Sunol. I took my sister Cait here when she visited, but Lee
had never been. It was really sunny and so nice out.
We are definitely going to have to go back more!

I had to put this one in...
I love Zac's head...
or hat!

My actual birthday was wonderful.
Lee set up family pictures and we took them that day.
(I can't wait to see and share them!)
Then we had a yummy dinner and cake and ice-cream
with the Cooper's.
I was also spoiled with wonderful presents!!

I sure love my boys.
And they make me always feel so special.
25! I'm getting old!

the great's

We were lucky enough to have
Grandpa and Grandma Cooper for a visit the other week.
We were worried that we were going to miss them
because of our trip down south,
but lucky for us they stayed through the weekend!

They loved meeting Zachary for the first time.
And he loved showing them how much he can jump, jump, jump!
We also were able to have four generations of "James."
Great Grandpa James, Grandpa Kendall James, Lee James, and Zachary James.
We loved being with them.
And can't wait for the next time we can see them.

We were able to take them out for some Top-This-Yogurt.
(A must when you come to visit us!)
Also a must when THEY visit are some good Canadian treats!
Thanks for the Pops and candy!
We sure love you guys.

More Vids

Zac has been REALLY into standing lately.
He no longer will just sit on the floor.
He will climb on me until I get him up into the standing position.
He has also been figuring out this balance thing.
He thinks he is such a big boy...
And he is.

These first two videos are from this morning.
I love it when he thinks he can do "no hands."

He is doing pretty good at switching hands for
balance to get the toy he wants.

I love the high pitch voice.

Just a small example of his love for jumping...

More power!!

He loves to play with his car seat!

eight

8 things at 8 months:

1) Favorite "real" toy at the moment is books
(Other fun toys that he loves: Dad's phone, computer, cords,
dinner plates, carseat, water bottles
and the wheels on the stroller).

2) Still jumps all the time
(He can't stop moving!
He also likes everything better when standing or
in someones arms).

3) Sleeping from 8:30pm-6:30am (Heaven).

4) Rolling (No crawling yet).
BUT he can go from the crawling position to sitting.

5) LOVES outdoors.
(including: cars, birds, shadows, swings, trees, and water fountains)

6) Two teeth on the bottom.

7) Laughs at himself as he is playing.

8) Talks/sings/makes noises with his tongue all the time
(It is the best when he goes really high pitched
and goes until he is red in the face and has no air left).

* * * *

On Monday we were playing in his room
and he was being so cute and funny.
So we had to pull out the camera and took some
8 month day pictures.

He is starting to climb on to people so he can get picked up.

You would think he just saw something for the first time
with those big eyes!

I opened the blinds all the way and he loved looking out.

* * * *

These other pictures are from the
month of March.

Zac is always pointing his toes or moving them.

Practicing crawling.

Such BIG eyes.

One of his favorite places to stand is by the tub.

He loves to laugh at everything now.

He is making the best faces and noises these days.

He is so fun.
We are enjoying all the funny things that he does.
He is such a cutie.
