best of both worlds

Three weeks ago our families got
this picture in the mail...

We didn't write anything on the back.
And didn't add anything with it.

I was a little worried that one of my siblings
might get it before my parents...
but my mom was the first to call!

We can't wait for the end of August
when a little
Girl
will
join our family!
We are very excited!

funny boy

I thought I would post some "March pictures"
before the month is over!

Zac has been pretty funny lately.

This is him saying "cheese."

He thinks it is "funny" to grab for the camera.
(Our attempt for a St. Patrick's Day photo.)

Sleeping sideways in his crib.

This is what I see almost everyday
when I get out of the shower...

Shoes are a new favorite (especially running shoes).
Zac will collect them in different rooms,
and then walk around the house in them.

I wish he would not be so "funny" about the camera.
There are so many moments I can't
capture because as soon as it comes out he stops
and wants to look at all the pictures.
But I'll take what I can get!

beach anyone?

It is raining, raining, raining today.
(Looking out our window!
The grass is flooded and so are the flower beds...
and the rain is still pouring down!)

So I thought I would finally finish up our trip down South.
Ending with the beach.
We just wish we had that sun right now!

Saturday we had a free day to hangout at the beach.
We first did a little walk at Laguna Beach.

Zac running ahead.
Probably saw a dog or something!

We met up with friends for lunch.
As soon as we touch the sand,
Zac did not stop.
Zac did not even give me time to change into his swimming suit
before he was off and playing.
He didn't want to touch the water anyways...
way too cold!

Lee trying to talk Zac into touching the water.

Tom and Lee started burying Zac's feet.
He loved it.

They dug a bigger hole and he jumped in.
He was helping bury himself it was really cute.

Only group picture-sad.
(And missing Tom and Courtney.)

I wish I would have gotten some pictures of
Zac and Westin together.
Westin was so good at throwing the ball
and making baskets into the bucket.

You can see a little bit of it at the beginning...
but he was digging so fast!

Deeper.

And that is our trip!
Zac was a champ for all the driving we did!
On the way down he only slept and hour, but was amazingly good.
On the way home we got a good 3 hour nap in!

He was so happy to have his binky for his naps.
Oh, and Elmo too.

It was such a fun trip!
And I think Zachary would agree...
Dogs, balls, sand, treats, and dad home all day!

Lira Love

While in So Cal we stayed with Lee's Uncle Brad and Aunt Teri.
We couldn't have asked for better hosts.
They even babysat while we went to the wedding!
We had it made!

Zac was in HEAVEN while there!!
Did I mention they have a dog??
The second he saw Lira-he was attached.
(I think Lira was so ready to have us leave!)
Anytime she would lay down, Zac was sitting right by
her, and usually on her.
He always wanted her to go outside and play.

My favorite was one night while eating his pizza,
we caught him taking one bite and then putting his
hand down for Lira to lick the sauce before taking another piece from his plate .

He LOVED getting licked by her.
He would go and grab her nose and put his face up against
it so she would lick him.
(So gross! I cannot stand a dog licking me!)
It was cute to watch it happen to him.

This picture says it all.

Just hanging out.

Wanting a kiss.
(He always puts his cheek towards
you for you to kiss him.)

Another love that Zac found at their house was basketball.
We were out at 7 in the morning playing ball.
Lee and I found that we are a little rusty.

Dancing the night away!

Brad and Allie had a fun place for their reception.
The center was right across from the ocean.
And it was a beautiful night.

We enjoyed talking with the new couple,
being with family and friends,
eating good food, and spending most of the night
on the dance floor.

Once the dance party started there was no way
of getting Zac away form it.
Our friends were laughing because they were like,
"of all people I would have never expected you
guys to be on the dance floor!"
We felt the same way!

Zachary just didn't want to get off.
Zac had his spot-up front AND right by the speaker.
He didn't stop moving until they stopped the music.
Once we got in the car-he was out!

Taking a rest for some pictures!

Spin Dance Moves.
Can you say dizzy?

I love at the end when he gets excited!

We had a really fun time.
Other things that Zac enjoyed:
-The punch
(probably helped with his dancing)
-Watermelon (we are excited for summer!).
-Running around all the tables.
-Oh, and having Tom feed him cake.

Brad and Allie

I never have much time to blog,
so this trip is going to be split up into different posts.

So starting with the main reason why we even took
the trip down south last weekend,
I thought I would start out with some pictures of the wedding.

Lee's cousin/roommate Brad married Allie (love the name!)
in the Newport Beach Temple on March 11.
It was a wonderful sealing and a beautiful day!
They were nothing but smiles!

haircut

A week ago we cut Zachary's hair.

He seems to be really good at growing hair on top.
And not the sides.

The park pictures were taken on 3/3.
And you can see that he was really good
at sporting the "poof" on the top.

But he still is cute.

The crib pictures taken on 3/6.

He looked totally different to me.
It took some getting used to.
But is still so cute.
Just older looking. :)

computer love

Sometimes I have to hide the computer.
If I leave it out on the table Zac will
climb up on the chair and try and open it.
(We no longer have a working caps lock.
And the space bar was "ify" for awhile.)

Zac ALWAYS wants to watch videos.
With some rainy days last week
he was a lucky boy!
