Dash

We wanted Zac to be something
for Halloween that fit his personality.
We decided that Dash from Incredibles was the perfect fit.

1. He runs everywhere he goes.
2. He is blond.
3. He would look so cute in the outfit. :)
4. Did I mention he does not stop?!

After last year and making the Ninja Turle costume
I decided that I was up to trying anything.

And he ended up looking so cute.
And he totally stayed true to the character!!

again?

Today we went back to the pumpkin patch to just play.
We ended up doing a few things that we didn't do before.
-We played on the playground there (also in a "corn box").
-Found the gourds. Thought they were balls.
Luckily, Zac only threw one.
-This time Zac pushed me around the hay maze! Ha.

Again, it was warm.
What was I thinking dressing us in pants in 80 degree weather?!

Oh, yesterday Zac had a good fall.
As seen in the pictures. Poor guy.

apple

At first it was just another ball.
But as soon as I started eating mine-
he started eating his.
He was in heaven!
It was cute because Lee taught him
to say "apple" and he was really good at it.

first rain

We had our first rain of the season this past weekend.
Unfortunately my sister-in-law Amber came to visit us during it.
I say unfortunately because flights always get
delayed at San Fransisco when it rains...
and they did.
Also, the flog rolls in so you can't see any of the good views that are here.
See picture above!

But we were still happy to have her come.
She was a good sport and went to both sessions of Stake Conference with us.
And slept on our couch (7 months pregnant!).
It was fun to catch up on life with her.
We just wish some cousins could have made it too!
(And an uncle!)
Thanks for visiting us!

Thursday Post.

1. Without even teaching him, Zac will fold his arms for prayers. If Lee and I are sitting on the floor together he will walk up to us and fold his arms. (In the morning before Lee leaves for work we will say a prayer together, and then I'll feed him breakfast.) Also, once the table is set, he will fold his arms. I'm pretty sure he knows food comes after a prayer. It is the cutest thing ever. And we did not even teach him! He is just so observant!

2. Zac is so strong! He will grab my leg and push me to were he wants me to go. I can not get out of it! He will push me until I fall over.

3. He has this thing when he gets mad he will shake his head "no" really hard and then stand on his head. This can be a problem when we are outside.

4. He will point out every tree, or how Zac likes to say it "tea."

5. And ANY flag can be spotted a mile away!!

6. Zac now only gets his binky in his crib. We have been doing for over a month now. He is so good about it. If I pick him up and he has it in his mouth he will throw it back in the bed. But once I put him on the floor he will try to reach throught the bars for it. I then just say "book" and he is off to the bookself...forgetting about it! (Lets just say bedtimes are so so easy to get him to sleep! He loves that thing and will go right to bed!)

7. We got our carpets cleaned yesterday (For free, the complex paid for it!). And I am loving it.

8. Fall weather has showed up. We have a chance of rain tomorrow. It was 67 today. Perfect park weather.

9. Today is my sister-in-laws birthday, Happy Birthday Sara!

10. We are excited to have our other sister-in-law, Amber, come visit this weekend!

Summer in the Fall

I know many of you are very excited about Fall.
I know I am.
We have been living like it was
Summer
for the past two weeks.
We have been in the 90's and swimming almost everyday!
I am kind of happy about it.
We had a mild summer, so we have been living up the
little extra summer that we have been given.
Plus, while all of you guys are having snow and cold
winters, we will be living like it's Fall.
So, we will still have plenty of time to enjoy it.

Zac loves to open an close the sunblock.
And yes, this tan boy wears SPF 50.

mini cooper update.

The mini cooper is still going strong.

The wheels are still really cool.
And probably always will be.

But now we can do even more tricks!

Zachary will put up his feet so we can push
him fast around the house.
(He is so so close to being able to push
both feet at the same time.
I think he only needs about another inch to reach better!)

Standing.

Video: Zac showing off his trick.

pumpkin patch

On Saturday I went to my first pumpkin patch!
We looked up a couple in our area and
found one with lots of activities for little kids.

Zac was way into the wagon.
He just wanted to help push it around.

He only sat in it for just a second
before he started standing up.

We had Grandpa, Grandma, Shelly, and Kenzie
join us for the fun!

There was a "corn box."
Zac was in heaven.
He could have played in there all day.
It was fun watching him try and walk in it.
He kept falling over.

They had a big corn maze, but we opted for the hay barrel
maze for zac. He did not like the hay to touch him.

It was really warm,
but we sure enjoyed doing something to
celebrate the fall season.

Happy October!

buddha belly

This kid pushes his belly into everything.
I love it.
He is always doing it to make me laugh.
And it works.

mario kart anyone?

Watch out all you Wii players.
(Pay special attention Aunt Kenzie!)
You might have some stiff competition in a few years.

PLEASE mom, I'll take care of it...

*"I am not much of a dog person."

I don't like them licking me.
Touching me with their nose.
The hair.
The barking.
Scaring me when I run.
Breathing on me.
Yuck.

But...

My son is!

I can't not believe how much this boy LOVES dogs.
No joke.
EVERY dog that we see he has to go run to it.
And then touch it.
And let it lick him all over.
(He doesn't even flinch when they lick him on the face!)
He gets so excited that he has to sit down.
He starts doing his excited "scream."
That usually gets the dog going.
And then he wants to grab them.
He likes to get their tails.
Put his hand in their mouth.
Pick them up.
You name it.

I think he loves them so much because he has never
met a mean dog.
I find it amazing that every person that has
let him touch and play with their dog,
the dog has been so so good with little kids.
They don't care what he does with with them.

I hope this is just a stage...
or he might just have to find a friend with a dog,
because there is no way we are getting one.
(I really hope I don't have to bite my tongue later.)

This was a dog at the picnic...

Zac could not stay away.
He was letting him lick him all over.
Twice he tried to bite his tail.
He was so excited.
(He kept on having to sit down from excitement.)
He was even giving him kisses.
Oh boy!

(I don't *hate them. I will pet them. And get close.
But right after I must wash my hands.
Don't get me wrong, some puppies are cute.
I think it's really the licking and smell.
Right Shauna?)

Company Picnic

On Saturday we went to Lee's company picnic.
It was nice to finally put some faces with people that
Lee has been working with on recent projects.

We had fun.
It was 100 degrees but that did not stop us
from being there for 4 hours!!
Zac did not stop!
He was running around checking out everyone and everything.
I think everyone there probably had him run
up to them (or into them) at some point.

We enjoyed some yummy food.
Got a few prizes/gifts.
(Lee won the "guess the weight of the rock" game!)
Went in the jumpy houses.
Snow cones/cotton candy/popcorn. Yum.
Got a cake from the cake walk.
And enjoyed music, games, and company.

We are happy Lee has a job in these hard times.
And it is even nicer to have a good company to work for!
And really who wouldn't want Lee working for them?!
He is the best!
Thanks for working so hard.
We sure love you.
