We hit up the $0.25 swimming. One of our community pools they has swimming for a quarter in the afternoons in the summer, but I had not been brave enough to take all three kids. Brookie ended up sleeping in the shade for most of the time we were there. It's a pretty fun pool for Zac and Jane because it is only 2 feet in places, so they can stand.
I had never taken the kids bowling and they have a summer program that everyday for $1 you can go. Jane was about done after doing it twice, but the worker brought over the "pink dragon" and she was loving it! She did not want to stop. Zac made it his job to take control over the balls. He made sure we had the right balls on our side. It was a little tricky seeing how most of our balls were the same color and weight as the lane next to us.
We went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I had never been to an aquarium, so I was really excited to go. And it did not disappoint!! The kids loved it. Zac was pretty fast through most of the exhibits, but Jane really wanted to look at everything. We spent hours there and wore Jane out (well of us really). She ended up asleep in Brooklyn's carseat. We were kind of impressed she fit! It was a super fun day.
The weather was beautiful, so we could not pass up a picnic in the back yard! It's always much more of a party outside!
It was super fun to have Maren come! Jane really wanted her to stay for her birthday, but we had to send her home to start college. We can't wait for the next time she comes!
