World Record at Discovery Bay.

Saturday we went out to the Delta to get the boat
de-winterized. It's been such a cool summer we couldn't believe
it's almost July and we had not been out!

When Zac woke up we told him about going out on the
boat. He was excited all morning. And just kept saying "boat."
Lee found out last minute that there was a move that
needed his truck, so we ended up going out a little
later then planned.
Zac was so anxious to go it was pretty funny.

Zachary liked the jacket for about 2 seconds.
We found he would at least wear it if it was unzipped.
*It was my job to zip it up if we started sinking. :)
Zac lasted about one minute on the boat after we got out of the
"no wake" zone. He was OUT!
After that we put some shade over him on the floor and
I had my hands free.

We just went the three of us.
So there was no wake boarding or skiing.
Just a low key day. It was nice.
We drove around and had lunch.
It felt great to be out on the water.
And enjoying some sun.

And if going out on the boat didn't make you jealous...
we got to witness a WORLD RECORD while there.
There were so many paddle boats, I wish I got some pictures.
HA.

Pixar Car Show

Lee seriously needs to get a job at Pixar.
I'm sure they could use someone with a construction background, right?
Or maybe he could just be a custodian?...
But anyways we are glad that Jake has a job there.
They always do amazing party's and have really fun things going on.
Jake has been working on the next movie for a few years,
so we are excited for next summer.

Friday went to the annual car show that they put on.
You have to get invited to attend, and they go all out.
Lots of cool cars, live music, bbq, and ice-cream.

I had to get a picture of Lee and Jake by the
2 million dollar Bugatti.

And then since I was the one with the camera, and I know
very little about cars...
I only took pictures of the Pixar cars. Ha.

It has been fun having Zac so into the movie Cars.
He always calls Lighting McQueen "Mack" it's really cute.

Family photo by Luigi and Guido.
I always have to ask Lee what they say in the movie
because he always laughs when they speak Italian.

They had some of the new toys that are coming out for
Cars 2 for people to "try out." Zac had the biggest fit
when I had to pull him away from playing with them.
I think he could have stayed for hours.

Walking around outside looking at the cars.
I couldn't capture too well, but he was
dancing lots to the music.

Just checking out some of the "Cars" characters.

Thanks Jake and Rachel.
It was a fun way to spend Lee's "lunch break."

Father's Day Weekend

For Father's Day weekend we went to one of Lee's favorite
places...the cabin.
We invited our friends, the Richards, to come with us.
We had such a fun time.
And it was so nice for Zac to have friends to play
with so we didn't have to do the entertaining!

The pully was a big hit.
Sara is 4 (this week) and is the same size as Zac.
(She actually weights a good few pounds less.)
We loved watching her do it on her own.

Andy is 6 and the cutest red head ever.

We played all day at the Lake.
It was perfect weather.

Kristina and baby Natalie (3 months).

Zac loved anytime Natalie was around.
I love the smile that she is giving in this picture
as Zac is going in to give her a hug.

Video: Zac showing Natalie's toes.

*Zac loved it when I was holding Natalie.
In fact once when Kristina took her and Sara
was wanting to see her he got a little mad about it.
Do you think he is going to be possessive of his little sister?

We did an early fire before the kids went to bed.
Zac loved pointing and saying "hot" while blowing.

It was a fun weekend.
I am so thankful for Lee.
He is such a wonderful husband and dad.

It has arrived.

SUMMER!!

Last week we went with our friends, the Babcocks,
to "family night" at the rodeo.
We sat up high so the boys could have room to run around.
We were glad it was a free night...
Zac and Colby only lasted about an hour.
But, it was still fun to go.
Zac was really loving walking close to the horses
as we were walking to and from the car.

Thursday, June 9

This week we all the sudden hit summer.
It's been in the 90's the last two days.
Yesterday Zac and I headed over to a park nearby.

If we go to a park with sand we spend
about 90% of our time playing in it.
Especially if there are trucks and nice kids who share them.

Tuesday, June 14

They have a splash pad there, but the water was so COLD.
So Zac didn't really want to get very wet.
He was way more into the fountain.
(I think the rocks helped.)

As we were sitting by the fountain there
was a little boy (not pictured) who
wanted Zac to fish with him (mind you there was no fish).
He brought over a fishing pole (a stick) for Zac to use.
It was pretty cute.

Picnic lunch.

Today we went swimming.
It was a big hit.
We are excited to do more.

I had to share these last two pictures...
Tonight Lee had a church meeting,
so he brought Zac to me during mutual.
He showed up with a tie on (just like dad was wearing).
He was too cute.

Everyone was loving him.
And he was being so cute-
he needed to give everyone hugs when we were leaving.

cruising on the mini cooper

The other day we let Zac ride his mini cooper around the complex.
(Usually it has to stay in our courtyard.)
We got some pretty cute videos of him.

We have to laugh because he is almost too big for it.
Seriously this kid is growing so fast!

Video #1
I LOVE this video because this is what I get to do with Zac
everyday after we get the mail (and to and from the park).
We MUST walk around the complex and put down any
sprinkler that is up.
Lee showed him how to put them down about a month ago.
And ever since then we have to stop for them.
He used to push them with his hand, but after
watching dad do it by stepping on them,
that is how he prefers to do it.

Video #2
Zac loves the speed bumps in our complex.
He says "bump again" when we are driving over them in the car.

Video #3
Just driving around.
Love the wave at the end.

bubbles

On Wednesday I pulled out some new bubbles for Zac.
He was beyond happy that I let him hold
both the container and the wand.

I love this next picture of him.
Whenever I got close to help him hold the wand right-
he ran away thinking I was going to take it away from him.
I'm just glad that the bubbles are non toxic.
And dye free. :)

Favorites of video:
a) reach up to the sky.
b)bubbles coming out of his mouth.
c)the quiet uh-oh.

What a cute fun kid.
It's fun to see him explore things on his own.

22 months.

Just some things about Zachary right now.

Running water is a favorite for bath time.
He loves to put his head under.

-It only took 4 nights, but Zachary watched his first full length movie-Cars, and he loved it. I'm sure it was the fact that he was watching it with Lee and they were getting so into it, pointing out all the cars. His very favorite is Mack (because he is "a BIG truck"). He also loved any time that "the sheriff" came on screen and had to make his police car sound. He has a few Cars cars that we got for 25 cents at a garage sale. He always picks Sally to play with and can say her name.

-Zac can jump really good/high right now. I can't wait to get a video of it. The only problem is he stops anytime I get out the camera. I'm going to have to be sneaky!

-At my doctors appointment yesterday we had them weigh Zac on the scale for fun...he is a whopping 32 3/4 lbs! He is a BIG boy! Solid. And made of muscle.

-Zachary is SOOO fast. (Top comment from people. That, and his tan skin.). If he has to slow down for someone he will start swerving while running. His gallop is really cute too. (Another video I need to get!)

-Grandpa and Grandma Cooper bought a little trike. He loves it. It can't reach the peddles yet, but is fast at getting around on it. He loves to go over bumps.

This was the night Lee put the bike together.
He was riding it around before he could even get the seat on!

We borrowed it for a week and he would ride it around
our court yard and right into the house.
And yes, he could ride even while drinking.

-Zachary is getting really good at repeating words. My favorite is when he says prayers at night. He will repeat the last word that we say. It is really cute.

-He is getting really good at playing cars/trucks/train all by himself. I can actually do the dishes without him bugging me! It is nice.

-He says, "bye mommy" and walks away if I'm not going in the direction that he wants me to go.

-He is such a nice sweet boy. He is really good at sharing. When we got to the park he always wants to share his sand toys with the other kids. He practically puts them in their hands and says "your welcome" even before they say "thank you."

I thought this was a cute picture of Zac
with his friend Colby at the park.

-He is really good at soccer. We can put balls all around and he can run fast and kick them while in stride. I find it really impressive. (He is definitely left footed.)

-He knows how to be funny. When we are driving home he will play a game pointing out the window and saying "house" to random houses. And then laughs and says "no." He will do the same with our cars.

-He will kiss my tummy all the time and say "baby." It's really cute. He did try and tell me the other day that his tummy was a baby.

-I'll have to get some videos off Lee's phone to share. We love listening to Zac talk (and boy can he!). And watching him learn new things everyday. We sure love him.

Our Memorial Weekend

We took advantage of some sales that were going on this weekend and finally bought ourselves a grill. We have been wanting one for a long time. Lee and I both love anything barbecued. The price was as good as it was ever going to get on the one we wanted, so we caved in.

We have not used it yet...we might have to this weekend (even with the upcoming rain).
But Zac and I had some fun with the box for a day or two.
Pictures of the "real thing" will be coming soon. :)

Saturday we enjoyed the day as a family and Lee and I ended off the night with a fun date with some friends.

Every Mormoral weekend our city does a "Arts and Wind Festival" where they have tons of booths set up, carnival rides, and kite demonstrations. On Monday we had fun walking around and also seeing some friends there. We were glad that Zac is too young to ask to go on any of the rides. It was pretty funny because he wanted to watch the cho-cho-train, but once it started the noise (or squeak) from it made him no longer interested. (That thing needed to be greased! Ha.)

Unfortonatly these are the only pictures we took.

Showing us the wheels.

Nice to get a three day weekend with Lee!
We sure need more of those! :)
