Z was not very sure about having his birthday. He kept telling me he did not want to turn 4 and grow up.
Luckily by the time the day came around he was ok with the idea and ended up loving the day. He had his gymnastics class first thing in the morning. On our way he told me he wanted to tell his teacher it was his birthday. It was cute when he stopped jumping on the tramp to run over and tell that it was his birthday. After class Z had asked to go to a kids play place called Super Franks (we went there last year). He brought along his friend Lucas and they had a fun time running around.

He had orginally picked out a chocolate cake to make, but when the time came to make
it he asked Jane to pick what cake she wanted and she picked the funfetti. He was happy with
Jane's choice so that is what we did. He was super excited to put the sprinkles on and candles all by himself.

We had Grandpa and Grandma Cooper, Shelly, Katie and Taylor over for presents and cake and ice-cream. By the end of the day Zachary had decided that being four was an ok thing!

Everyone helping blow out candles. Z always has a hard time blowing. He told me earlier Jane could do it for him.

so funny that he didn't want to be four. love that he "just wants to be a kid!" (totally will steal that questionnaire idea). we wish we could have been there to celebrate as well as have zach here to celebrate carter's in 2 weeks. jane sure is looking grown up on her brother's lap!
