Saturday Outings

On Saturday's we try to make it out on little outings after "attempting" yard work.  

We never get very far into our yard work until the kids are done, 

we are done (trying to keep them happy), and  we all need to get out.

October 6

The Livermore airport was doing an open house where you could come and watch the

aerobatic performances by the planes, get up close to them, and even sit in some of them.

We decided to squeeze it in as an activity between sessions of General Conference.

It was fun because we saw other friends there at the same time!

It was awesome because right when we pulled up they had a plane doing

flips right over us. It was fun to watch.

I also love it because now Jane will look up and try to find a plane 

and she gets excited when she hears one.

 

 They had some puppies there at a booth up for adoption. 

Jane was in heaven.

 October 13

The Plesanton/Livermore fire department was doing a emergency preparedness fair for the communtiy.

It was fun because they had a ton of activities for kids.

 Most of the things that we did were on firesafety. Which is aweseome for Zac who is 

way into firefighters right now.

Jane was a little more brave with the fire hose. :)

 They also had a fun obstical course for the kids.

Zac was excited because they got to go in the dark in the 

training tower. Jane was happy just doing the tubes.

 The figherflighters also put out a fire on a minivan.

At first Zac was not too sure what to think about it, but when it was over

he wanted to get up close to the firetruck and see things closer.

They also had a firetruck from the 60's.
The kids loved playing on it.
We might have had a huge tantrum when it was time to leave.

It has been fun because Jane has been just as/more excited with the outings as Zac has. 

It has been fun to see the kids explore and learn new things.

Free activities are always nice too. :)
