Thanksgiving Trip to Utah

It had been a year since our last family visit to Utah! The kids were super excited to visit Grandma and Grandpa Passey. This time we were also going to have the treat of seeing cousins from Tennessee who we have not seen in years!

We made great time on the drive. Just stopping for gas. It's always fun getting my phone back and finding pictures that the kids have taken. :)

One the highlights of the trip was seeing Maren in the Nutcracker! She had told us beforehand that she had some small solos...boy was she downplaying her parts!! She had one entire dance (the Spanish dance) where she was the main soloist with some background dancers. She also had solos in two other dances! She did amazingly good. It was fun to see her shine and be so talented. And of course after any good performance we had to stop for some ice-cream. We were lucky that there was a Jake's Over the Top right across the street!

We went to the Hill Air Force Base Museum again this trip. It was super windy and cold, so we just did some of the inside things. The kids always enjoy a museum. It was fun to have other cousins and Aunt Cait join in on the fun.

Speaking of talents, my sister Cailtyn is amazing at doing hair. Especially little girls. She can somehow get kids to sit still and do a french braid! Jane was pretty cute this day!

To say Jane was not obsessed with her cousin Benjamin, would be an understatement. She LOVED him. He seriously is such a cute kid. And SO easy going! She really loved having me hold him because then she could play with him and also have a chance to hold him. She is going to LOVE this new baby...maybe a little too much.
Cute picture of Jane with Grandpa.
Ponds Park trip with Sammi, Elli, and Scott.
We made a trip down to Provo. We took the kids around BYU campus. We stayed with Katie and Taylor for a night. We were also able to meet up with the Holt's and Irving's for dinner two different nights. We love having friends to visit and catch up with. And instant friends for our kids!

Hogle Zoo Trip

We were lucky that the temple lights went on the night before we left. We also enjoyed checking out City Creek for the first time too.

Thanksgiving was a great day. It's nice to have a time where you can remember all that you are thankful for. We have been blessed in many ways this past year. And have been blessed with wonderful family and friends. In fact, we wished we could have seen more people on this trip!

With babysitters at home we decided to venture out on Thursday night for some black Friday shopping (first time ever). We took Cait and Maren along with us to throw some elbows, but surprisingly the Walmart we hit up was pretty low key. Old Navy on the other hand, was a line around the store!
We got sucked into a great deal on a trampoline that Zac has been talking about us getting ever since we got the house. We even managed to bring it home and hide it without the kids noticing.

The kids did amazingly well on the trip. It was the best sleep we have all had on a vacation! So thanks Mom and Dad for helping with that!! We had a great time! And loved seeing our cousins!! We look forward to another trip!

I had to add these pictures of Z on the ride home eating his Mike-and-Ikes...he was super cute!
