Summer 2013: Fourth of July Weekend.

Note: I am going to attempt to recap some of our fun summer. Our computer is dying and I don't really like to even get on it. It takes forever to get it even started. So wish us both luck with this! We have had a lot of fun and wanted to get some of it documented on here!

We stayed in California this year for the 4th. I signed up to run a road race in San Ramon. I had not ran a race since before being pregnant with Jane. Almost 3 years (crazy!)! I ended up running 20:20 (6:30 pace). I was pretty happy with it seeing how I have not done a speed workout and I just wore my training shoes. I ended up being the first female and was lucky to have two girls that I ran with for most of the race.

The kids were super cute when I was finished. Z had grabbed an old metal of mine to give me when I was done. And they loved the popsicles afterwards (seeing how it was heating up fast!). It was fun to have them and Lee there.

We hurried off the Danville parade. We sat in the HOT 100 degree weather. (That is what the 4th is about, right?) The kids always love a parade.

That afternoon kids napped while we drove to the cabin to meet up with the rest of the Cooper clan. We played around and did some swimming that afternoon. It always amazes us that they just love to play cars there. It's like they were given a new bucket of cars!

We were lucky and had cousins join us for a boating day. The water and air were about close to the same temperature (both in the 90's). Jane had fun with little Ryle. She still does not know how to be super soft with little kids, but we are working on it. It's been fun to get both kids out on the knee boards this year. 

Saturday we decided to head to "downtown" Twain Harte to mini golf. It was the kids first time. Z loved doing all the holes as fast as he could and could be found three ahead of us all. While Jane loved to play with the obstacles. It was a win for the both of them! On the other hand I lost really bad! Ha. 

 

That evening we went to the little lake for some fun. It was a great ending to a wonderful weekend!
